Tea, check. Baby monitor, check. Let's do this.

Yesterday was a good day. My parents got home from being in Florida since November. It was an unexpected trip, and a very long trip. They traveled back with my grandparents, and I'm so glad they're all home safely. I could tell last night when I went to sleep that I was going to have a rough morning getting up. I'm so so so sleepy. But we will power through, yeah?

Today's reading plan was good, which I'm thankful for. I didn't have to read for 45 minutes all over the bible to figure out what they were getting at. Its like God knew I couldn't handle all that today. He's so nice. :)
1 Peter 2:13-25
Submission to Government
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, 14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— 16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. 17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Submission to Masters
18 Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh. 19 For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. 20 For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. 21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us,[a] leaving us[b] an example, that you should follow His steps:
22 “Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; [c]
23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer[d] of your souls.

When it talks about servants and masters, I think about work... employees and employers. Not everyone loves their job, right? And I think I read somewhere that the main reason an employee will stay or leave a job is their boss. So as a Christian, we are called here to be submissive to our masters; our bosses. Whether or not they're a good boss, or harsh, we are to think of what Christ suffered for us, and with a good attitude, endure through it. With a good attitude. That's the hard part.

If you suffer through, and do it with a good attitude, it is commendable before God. I'm sure this applies to a lot of areas over our lives. Suffering with a good attitude, even when you've done no wrong... it will pay off in the end, if we can do it.

I know that's not much to go on for the day but I've been sitting here for about 5 minutes waiting for more to come and it isn't, so maybe that's all I'm supposed to say. Have a great day. Feel free to post below if you want me to pray about anything for you.
